Welcome Haere Mai
Welcome to the Bluewater Endeavours Living Lab (BELL) Projects.
Our Objective: To build a Resilient Marlborough Community by incorporating innovative recreation, tech and tourism as ways for people to connect to each other and to place.
Traditionally, emergency management has been "firefighting"—waiting for an outbreak or environmental disaster to occur before mobilizing.
By integrating One Health (the intersection of human, animal, and environmental health) into the overlapping recreation, tech and tourism sector, we move from managing disasters to managing risks.
The Living Lab is a Test-and-Learn, user-centred, co-created & open innovation ecosystem and community. The freedom to fail can lead to lasting success in the end. Building resilience is a process.
Why this is Important: A resilient community prepares, withstands and recovers from disasters, economic shocks and social crises minimising disruption to daily life.
